A Flower Garden

We made a beautiful flowery garden using cupcake liners and pipe cleaners the other day!  Oh...and glitter.  Anna always asks for glitter....always.

They are easy to make, and other than the glitter, aren't that messy.

Supplies needed:
cupcake liners
paint
glitter (optional)
pipe cleaners
paper
glue

Start by painting the inside of your cupcake liners.

Sprinkle in some glitter if you'd like.

Glue down a few pipe cleaners onto your paper.  (I recommend using a good amount of glue.  The pipe cleaners like to roll around a little.)

Then glue on the tops of your flowers!

Happy creating!

Planting a Playdough Garden

You all know we love play dough around here!!

I love trying to find new ways to use our homemade play dough.  Some of my favorite are Mr. Play Dough Head and making birthday cupcakes!

This pretend garden ranks right up there, though.

Sweet Girl and I planted a play dough garden using our homemade chocolate play dough as "mud", some plastic flowers and various pots.

This one she made just for me....awww.

These ice cube molds (from Ikea a while back) worked out perfectly for planting some of the smaller flowers.

It's just good ole play dough fun!

DIY Easter Cards

We are really into our watercolor paints right now so we decided to use our paints to make our Easter cards this year.  They were really easy to make and turned out pretty cute.

Supplies needed:
Watercolor paint and paint brushes
Watercolor paper
Painters tape
Cardboard

Start by cutting out an egg shape from your cardboard.  Then tape down your watercolor paper to your table (to keep it from sliding while painting) and then position either the egg or egg cut out on your paper and tape down with painters tape.

Then paint away.

After your paintings have dried, glue them onto folded cardstock to create simple Easter cards.

Toddler crafts - Week in Review

We had quite a busy week at our house!!  Lots of activities, birthday parties and the BIG OLE potty training adventure!!  We still managed to squeeze in a few super cute crafts this week!!  They all make me so ready for warmer weather!!

Cupcake liner flowers
This was a fun and easy craft!  Sweet Girl painted the inside of the cupcake liners and then we glued them onto the stems.

Bunny cookie cutter painting
We used our two bunny cookie cutterse to make some cute little bunnies.  After they dried, Sweet Girl added googly eyes and a nose.  I drew in the ears and mouth.

Baby bluebirds
How cute are these little guys?  We had a lot of fun making them!  I found the great idea at Let's Go Fly a Kite

Baby chick
This cute little craft is from Muffin Tin Mom and it's also featured in this year's Spring Crafts and Activities eBook.  Sweet Girl loved adding feathers to the chick's feet!

Happy Spring everyone!!  Bring on the warmer weather!
